Default Deep Gashes in my Jag! The horror!

I was parked and an SUV in the parking lot across from me had a board the owner build out of lumber and metal screws too long for the wood on top of the SUV. The wind was strong that day and blow the board off his SUV and racked the hood on my Jag. Huge gashes, not just scratches.

His insurance is taking care of it, but still... the horror!

Ouch! That'd make me boil. Hope the insurance claim all goes through without any issues.

Wow, I felt sick looking at the photo; you must have felt far worse! It appears that the owner of the SUV stuck around and is being responsible (possibly).

Not wanting to launch into a soap box speach, it appears increasingly common for people to be thoughtless towards the poperty of others and carry on about their business as if nothing happened.

Thankfully the owner was very sorry and gave me his insurance information. I spoke with his insurance company and I have an appointment with the body shop. Such a pain to go through all of this. I hope the body shop does a good job.

Commiserations on the damage, much sympathy, BECAUSE I went and damaged my own XJ6 a few years ago; I left a huge long piece of wood propped a gainst my hedge near where the car was parked. Of course, I forgot all about it 'till the next morning. When I went out into the garden, there was the wood, now leaning against the car's roof. A big wind had sprung up in the night and blown it off the hedge onto the Jag. I was livid! All my own fault too! It left two dents in the roof near the back windscreen.
