Question Display Gone!! Instrument Cluster

200 S type, bought last week and when I brought the car home I noticed there was something that popped up on the instrument cluster displays saying disc error and then the odometer reading just went away. The car only has 42 k miles on it.
I tried to manipulate the dimmer switch and also looked at all the fuses. Not sure what just happened and what could be causing this. The other gauges are working.
please help

It's the standardized writing in each of a persons posts at the bottom. Sig is 'signature'.
