How do you set the door mirrors on an S-Type to auto-fold.
On the X-type its on the menu.
I saw an S-type with the door mirrors set to auto-fold when you locked the car, and swung out again when you unlocked..

I understand that there are a lot of extras that can be programed from the key if you know the sequence.

I don't think they can be and for some of us it would be a nightmare!!

Most S-Types don't even have the powerfold mirrors at all.

In England, with the tiny parking spaces and narrow lanes, folding mirrors are a nice feature to have.

 

I often have to fold them in before parking and again after un-parking so auto-fold would have to be psychic. It's not much effort to flick the switch...

 

Quite a few of the new European models have this as standard when doors are locked (rover, ford, citron Audi, merc, BMW).
The S-type goes one better, and it can be set to the deadlocks.
Lock the car normally on key fob, car is locked and entry alarm set.
press the fob a second time and the doors dead lock, the passive alarm is activated and the mirrors fold, and if the sunroof or windows are open they will close, as well.
I dont have a sunroof, but all the other features work on my car, except the mirrors dont fold.
Apparently there are a lot of dealer activated options, to personalize the car its just a case of knowing the sequence to set them.
