EML light on 2004 3.0 stype
Hi all....first time post....just waiting to pick some brains.
Have 3.0 stype 2004. Couple of weeks ago my abs light came on. It had driven fine to my destination, when I fired up to come home the abs light was on. I tried switching of and restarting but the light remains on. I drove home and leftvthe car firva week or so before i had time to look at it. When i started up not only was the abs light on it had been joined now with the EML. I have plugged into IDS and erased the abs code which was C1165 right sensor, I have sorted this but I cant remove t0he EML. Code was P1260. I have received programmed both keys, disconnected the battery for an hour, hard reset the system by touching each lead to poss lead, the battery is 2 month old Bosch..... any ideas would be appreciated.

check the voltage on the battery because it may be low it has to be 12.6 volts. When they are used on relatively short trips the battery will not change fully. A lot of us use a battery tender once a month.
Do you have a copy of the JTIS you can find it here or go to jagrepair.com and download the pdf file. You can also get the dtc from there which will tell you what the code means

I have found that it does not work with Windows 10. I bought an old 32 bit laptop with Windows 7 professionals for virtually nothing.
I have everything I need for the Jag on this computer like the JEPC

I also have the elm 327 with eobd-facile program to read the engine codes.
