Over the past several days I have been getting FailSafe come up but no check engine light. I checked for codes but have none. Do I have anything that is part of the norm that I can check?
At the time of the failsafe I was either at an idle stopped at a light or in slow moving traffic. It would come on for a few moments (3 to 4 Sec) and go off, it would not produce any engine or trans hesitation that I noticed. Engine temp was 212 and air intake temp was 89 +/- a few.

 

You said you check for codes and you get nothing, but I bet you checked with a generic scan tool. I have the factory scan tool and I bet I could get a weird as* code and figure out what it is. Take it to the dealer and have them print out a sheet with the codes, then give us the codes so we have something to work with. How many miles on the car?

 

I cleaned the TB and it has not returned. I plan to get all the codes checked to be sure. Thanks for your suggestions.
