The last satisfactory Goodyear tires that I've had on a vehicle was a set of Goodyear Vectors that came with my new 1988 Jeep Cherokee 5-speed manual that I custom-ordered way back in October 1987. That was more than 20 years ago. Every other set of Goodyears (mostly various flavors of Wranglers) since then were absolutely terrible. Unsafe in the rain and the treadwear life of cotton *****. I'm with you - no more Goodyears in this household, and it's been that way for more than 10 years now....

Wow, sorry you guys have had such bad luck with Goodyears. I've had Goodyears on an '02 X-Type and currently have them on my '06 Acura TSX. On the Jag, they weren't quite as quiet as the Perrillies they replaced, but they lasted about twice as long and handled better. On the Acura, I've had them 40,000 miles and they're still going strong. They're also relatively quiet and stick to the ground like glue. I don't know, maybe it's just a matter of preference and opinion.

Anywho, enjoy the new tires!

Mmmmmm...

I've got OEM Goodyears on a 2006 Ford Expedition with 62,000 miles and haven't a sense of problems. I expect to get 70,000 miles out of them.
