Default Hard Reset?

I believe I read in another post about a hard reset or something like that for the ECU after doing mods? Like pulley, intake, exhaust? What's the procedure? Just disconnecting the negative of the battery for a few minutes?

Yes just disconnect and leave it for half an hour or touch the negative lead to the positive one for a quicker discharge of the capacitors.

it may clear some adaptions, but really, resetting the ECU won't likely have any meaningful gains in the long term.
