Default Heated seats

Just curious here but on my 04' S Type my heated seats are barely warm when turned on. I do notice that if once they shut off and I turn them back on they do get warmer the second time around. I took it to the dealer but they said they are fine. I have a friend and her Mercedes seats heat up really good and will cook your buns after a while! My mom's Lexus has heated seats and they too heat up way better than mine. What gives??

The heated seats in my XJ6 were the same, They barely got warm and the dealer too said they were fine. The seats in my S-type are much better. I wish I knew what to tell you.

For some reason the heater in the passenger seat in my car does not turn on at all.. You press the button niether of the lights come on and the seat wont heat up either.. A few other functions on that seat also dont work: like the headrest, lumbar, and I think one other control.. Could this be a module? Or something unplugged?

Lol... I guess Jaguar hasn't mastered the heated seat thing.

Uptown Girl:

I got the same story on my 04 XJ8. They were much less warm than any other car I owned with heated seats. By contrast, the steering wheel which heats up when the drivers seat is heated, really gets hot! When I took my car in regarding the seats, they told me they came in at the specified temp according to Jaguars specs!

Me too! I had a Chrysler LHS- bought it brand new in 99'. It had heated seats that worked really good until they malfunctioned and started turning on by themselves! In the winter that would be ok but it was July! My mom & I were driving in the car and the damn seats kept coming on despite our attempts to keep shutting them off. We joke that if it didn't stop we would be riding around in our bras because it was so freakn hot! lol
