Help with s-type 4.0 v8 engine
How do you remove the timing cover from the engine? I removed all of the bolts and pulled the pulley from the crank. (I am trying to remove the crank) Are there any internal clips holding the timing cover on? Do you need to completly remove the valve covers? Should it come straight out? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I assume you removed the water pump pulley and all twenty four bolts on the timing cover. You shouldn't have to remove the valve covers. It come out slightly, then you need to rotate it slightly in an upwards motion to clear the water pump and then back out again.
