Default HID xenon low-beam headlight out.

The drivers side headlight has gone out. It "popped" when turned on. Replaced he bulb (d2s 35w) and nothing. What is my next? i do not know the wiring for these. Is the ballast also where the bulb plugs in? Or is under the front bumper. I have searched for hours and have not found the exact answer I am looking for.
These seem very expensive. Is there a way to downgrade them to a halogen bulb system??

Thanks

I would check the igniter. It is the black box that is connected to the end of the bulb. Make sure the power connector didn't get accidentally disconnected when you installed the bulb. If the cable is attached and the igniter is installed correctly than you might have a bad ballast. You can pick up used ones on Ebay. The ballast is the silver box mounted near the fender. Unfortunately you will have to drop the bumper to replace it.

Default Check with voltmeter

Is there any way to check these parts before I buy them?

You can swap with the other side.
