Default Ignition coil service life?

This weekend,( I hope) my 03 STR (80k miles) gets new spark plug seals and valve cover gaskets. When replacing the plugs a few days ago found several plugs wet with significant oil.
Since I am at this, what is a expected service life of the coils? Any substitute for the $60.00+ each Jag wants? Maybe I just wait until it misfires and the CEL shows it ugly self.
BTW I am looking for the lower cover ( some call it a belly pan) since this one appears to have been ripped away...refresh of this newest car toy is almost completed..still need to reflash the Tranny TCU and it should become my daily driver.

At about 40,000 miles in drive mine would almost stall and had lost power. Definately the points. So all 8 were changed including the plugs. I have seen a whole set on flea bay for as little as $120. Not sure of the country of origin. I would not use anything out of China. The dealer told me they always change the lot as well as the plugs as faulty points can/may foul he plugs.
