Like everyone on this forum, we have a love affair with these cars. I can't really explain the attraction. Being a southern boy, we're used to Camaros, Corvettes, and such. Parts for our powerful American cars are easy to get and we're spoiled by simply picking up the 'phone ordering what we want. After replacing the coils, I noticed the connectors were badly worn and even cracked. I jumped on this site and was astonished to find these connectors were hard to find. I even went to my local dealer who said these connectors were no longer a stock item but I could get a used wiring harness for $200.00.
Well, I found the replacements. ACDelco Part #19117984. They hooked up to the stock coils. I plan on installing this in the next few days in my 1997 Jag XK8.
Sorry, I guess I should be more precise. O'Reilly Auto Parts. I found a few more numbers on the Packet. ACD#PT2045; GM#88988587. They cost around $30.00 a piece. O'Reilly is holding 4 more connectors for me. If you want them, let me know. These are the 2 pin type.

The AJ26 used a two conductor connector, so no, it doesn't look like the AV27 or 4.2. I'm not even sure if it looks like the ones in my 97, so I'm waiting to hear what copyman01 says after he tries them.
Sorry for the delay. The new connectors work great!!! I didn't use the barrel connectors that came with the kit. Instead, I soldered the wires together along with heat shrink and taped the wires up as far as I could. I still had a slight miss so after checking the continuity of the coils, I added Lucas Injector cleaning and ran the heck out of it. After the second fuel up she laid her ears back and flew down the interstate. It was hard to keep her under 110 mph.
Great. Do they look like the connectors RaceDiagnostics linked at rockauto.com in post #4? Those don't look familiar to me but I don't want to remove a coil cover just to compare.
