Hi all great forum.
Right help needed, I have just bought an s type 3.0 v6 petrol/lpg year 2000, I bought the the car with a fault and was told that it was a problem with the coil packs missfire and would only rev to 2500rpm, I stripped it down and found water in two of the spark plug recesses, got coils checked and one was faulty, rebuilt but only slight improvment still wont rev above 2500rpm and lumpy on tick over,I checked for spark at plugs ok, so fuel, removing injector plugs made no differance even with 4 off it still ran the same, I was told that the ecu will turn off the injectors if it detects a missfire on a cylinder, so tried a reset as described on here battery neg to pos, still no better, have not done a compression test yet think that will be next.
Any help would be most welcome.

Hi I did buy a new coil but it only work in the back cylinder on righthand side the front and middle dont seem to be firing, I swopped the coils to the back cylinder and they worked. it was the front and middle that had water in the plug recess.

Hi thanks for your reply. I have tried a spare plug in coils and there is a spark on both cylinders also have had the new coil on both and still no change, if you pull both coils the engine does not alter, I fitted new plugs and the funny thing is that there are slight signs of combustion more on the front cylinder.
not had chance to get code reader yet.
