Hey guys - first time posting in this area of the forum. I just purchased an STR, 2003 with a little less than 21,000 miles. The front grill took some getting used to. I love the way it handles, and can't believe the acceleration. The gas consumption will definitely take some getting used to (compared to my 1998 Vanden Plas), though I averaged 25.3mpg in a 250 miles trip today.

Any suggestions on things I should watch out for as I learn this car? I am considering getting an extending warranty.

 

Lovely looking car, I was looking at that color before I bought my silver XJR, wow you got a low miler there. I am a English transplant by the way but don't hold that against me.

 

That's okay--I'm a Scottish transplant! I love the XJR and it's secretly my dream car, but I just could not find one that fits the profile I was looking for.

 

Hello Scottish Chap. I am new to these too. One thing I have learnt already is not to play with the keyfob too often. lol. I broke mine the first full day I had it. That being yesterday. Good bunch of folk here too. Really helpful and lots of stuff to read up on. I have spent a good chunk of time just reading posts in here to figure that out.
