Went to the dealership to reset the sunroof and try to fix a steering wheel creek. It's been seven days, approx three dozen startups and the key fob doesn't work. Any way to make them "sync"? Would a hard reset do anything? I've done a hard reset myself and went to the dealership once for something else, in both instances, the key fob didn't work until day three...

 

have you tested the battery..? may need a new remote.. or to reprogramm them into the security system..

 

I haven't checked the battery. What I don't get it is that it was working fine...I locked the doors at the dealer...Once the car was ready, I tried to unlock and it didn't work. But I've brought it to the dealer before and it stopped working. I'll check the battery. Man, a new remote is like $200, hope that's not the issue.

So again, there's no way to sync them? Also would a hard reset doing anything?

 

Having an S-Type, there is no manual way to get them programmed without a visit to the dealer.
PM the last six of your VIN.
Did they fix the other problems you were there for?

 

hey i can get you new style keys and remotes for your car 2 sets and all you have to do is get them programmed at the dealer $145. tell us how it goes..
