I can only open the trunk with the key pad if the car isn't running. The inside button doesn't work nor does the button on the outside of the trunk. Any one know of this problem and what the cause might be? I would appreciate any advice. Thanks

 

There's a valet switch in the glove box. Make sure it hasn't been pushed by accident.

Many thanks oldengineer from an old retired guy whose knowledge of this car is putting air in the tires and gas in the tank. I asked a local mechanic who works on these cars and didn't get the help you gave me.

A bunch of us have fallen victim to the dreaded valet switch.... Just be glad that you didn't call the dealer freaking out that you couldn't get in your trunk...Only to end up feeling like a dufus...
