Jaguar Clubs of North America Slalom event
Ran the JCNA sanctioned Slalom on Saturday and my best time was 46.97... :-) :-)
A XF-Super did it in 44.46... :-( :-(
Guess an extra 100HP really does make a difference.
Oh, an F-Type-Super did it in 45.7 but it was the first time out for him in that car and he had trouble getting to power down (can you say "smoked the tires"... ;-)
A race prep'd Triumph Spitfire GT did it in 41.31, a Formula V in 46.41, and a 2013 Vette 427ci in 44.56.
The 1930 Austin Ulster did it in 50.1 ( http://youtu.be/M5jAE59oAoY 2013 event).
But of course the fellow with a race-prep'd XJS 6 did it in 39.13 (he is the JCNA national champion in that car) so the rest of us have some practicing to do.
================================================== =
You dreamed of a big star
he played a mean guitar
He loved to drive his Jaguar...
So welcome to the machine
