Just the tip
The OEM STR tips are 8 total inches long, however, there is a 2" long slot cut out to avoid the hanger. Therefore, if a shop cuts off the OEM tip and you don't want the new tips to stick out at all, you can't get tips longer than 6". I had a rough time finding tips that I liked cheap, but low and behold, an ebay seller has a 100 of styles of tips and I got a pair for under $20 shipped. They are 6" long, ID of 2.25", OD of 3.5" rolled and resonated with a 15 degree slant.
The tech sawzalled off the OEM tip/tailpipe (tip is welded to the tailpipe) and welded on the tips. I don't know if it's against the rules but I can post a link to the ebay seller who these and other styles of tips cheap. Remember, you want as close to 6" in length as possible (yes, that is what she said) if you don't want them to stick out...
