Anyone have trouble with a faulty knock sensor on an 03' STR? Mine is throwing the car into restricted performance mode, it started when the car has sat around for over a week, if I continue to drive it for a couple days in a row it will go in and out of restricted performance mode while I am driving. I brought it to the dealer and at first they were not able to tell why is was throwing the code, they reset it and when I brought it back a week later with the same problem they stated that the sensor was faulty. That is a seven hour fix due to the sensor being below the supercharger (everything has to be removed). I dont believe the car is actually knocking, seems to be running great, so I am more wondering if anyone else has had to deal with this type of sensor fault. Also, the car has the 2.5-3lb pulley from Eurotoys, has anyone had knock sensor issues after installing this item (just wondering if there is any correlation). Any help or ideas would be appreciated.
