Actually yes I did on Ebay, seller is great with communication and I believe he is located in Coventry. I offered him 23.97GBP for 3 and was accepted, his buy it now was 9.99GBP so i saved a few bucks.

Congrats mulligans27! rudyards accepted your offer of GBP 23.97

Here is his store, I would shoot him a message to see if he has any, seems as though he gets alot and/or can get alot of genuine Jag stuff.

Default 2005 STR Leeper Emblem on Boot

This an old thread, but I just tried it and thought I'd post the picture. I used the long Leeper vs. the short one. This picture was taken 10/14/2015.

Brilliant minds think alike. When I started taking notice of XFs, and loved the leaper emblem on the trunk (boot), I just had to order an inexpensive replica (OK, Chinese copy), along with a set of "R" badges for the fenders.

From a distance, you really cannot read "Jaguar" on the trunk lid, unless too close for comfort. There's no mistaking a leaping cat....and what it stands for.

$15 for a pair of Rs and leaping cats. Here I thought I was doing something unique.....and this thread predates me owning a S-Type by 5 years. Again, brilliant minds think alike.

BTW, I got the short one, by default - only one I saw on EBay. Fit well in base model's lip, which only has a hint of a spoiler. That addition will be part of another thread, as there are a handful on EBay which are prepainted and under $100.

Default Thanks

Thanks Warspite. Bull27 used the small one and I like the R he uses. I was/am still worried about that curve putting too much strain on the emblem. When applying I cleaned the surface, but I didn't use alcohol. I put all the force on the head and tail and worked towards the center of the body for at least three minutes while doing periodic pushes to ensure the edge was against the trunk. On Facebook I joined the group "Jaguar S-Type Lovers" and I got good feedback, but one did say they used both the real and fake leapers, used alcohol to clean the surface, and after a week the emblem pulled from the surface. So, now it is a waiting game or see how long it does take to come off. After three days it is still against the metal and feels as strong as my S-Type and Block R badges. Time will tell. I will give updates if it holds or not.

For the record, the leaper, and both "R" replica emblems with the thin pre applied 3m tape acquired from EBay have been on for about 5 months, with no signs of pulling away nor peeling of the finish. I did not use the alcohol pad; just a dry shop towel. Paint on car is original, which may be a factor down the road. Thumbs up so far!

I know this is a really old thread but I took inspiration from this thanks guys
.

This is the new steel R badge replacing the old plastic crap one
I think it looks better , I like the chrome r as it stands out on the dark colour ! Let me know wat you think ?

I didn't remove the s type badge but replaced the r with the new one (not shown here) and added the leaper to the boot and front gaurds!
Thanks for the ideas it needed somthing else , and I saw a new 2015 black xj with the big leaper on the boot looking like jewellery so thort I'd see if some one had experimented
Pleased thay had

Thumbs up on the re-badge job! FYI, the rectangular "R" emblem is OEM and quite pricey.
