Hi ive been trying to sort out the central locking issues on my s type its locking and unlocking ok with the fob as drive off the car automatically locks all the doors then they will not unlock unless you remove the key from the ignition and use the fob I have fitted a new drivers door latch so far as it would lock occasionally but still hasn't resolved the issue also ive lubed the rest of the locks with wd40 also I have s spare fob that needs reprogramming after trying several methods on the Internet without any success anybody got any tricks or tips that work would be greatly appreciated

Welcome to the forum. With above requested knowledge, please go to "UserCP" in the upper left corner on any site page, click "Edit Signature" add vehicle info., click "Save". No one will have to ask you the year, model or engine size again.

 

Hi after further investigation ive found the left front door latch is faulty
but still interested if anyone has info on programming the key fob its the 3 button type

 

You need to take care of the faulty left door now.

 

Ordered a new door catch today !
