There are no intakes for our cars, nor are there any programmers or MAFs.. Really the only things you can do is install a smaller pulley, port the s/c, install exhaust, a K&N drop in panel filter, and send out your ECU and have it professionally remapped.. Sorry it's no cobra or lightning.. They only made a little over 1,500 of these cars so there is no reason for aftermarket companies to want to research and design parts for them.. Eric

(oh and if you have an extra $6k laying around you can swap in a Magnusson or a Kenne Bell, then your talking about 500rwhp.. BUT it may only run for a year?)

damn, I hate being the bearer of bad news..

Yeah with a pulley and exhaust you'll be well into the low 13's and with a chip it should be in the low 12's.. I was trying to set up a group buy with a company called Eurotek, but I couldn't get anyone else to jump on board, only 2 or 3 users..

Slight correction there is a site called minagallery.com that has a short cold air intake for about 135$ very easy to install, plus the filters are about 10 bucks....just not K&N

That intake will actually make your car slower. Its a "hot air intake" your IAT will go way up and the car will start running like shi*t.. The factory intake will perform much better in real life driving.. That's why I say that there are no intakes upgrades for STRs, because the mina one is actually a downgrade.. Haha but hey, maybe it'll sound cool. Eric

This would have been useful information before I purchased one, (my bad) I guess I'll just put it on the shelf along with all the R53 Coooper S parts that looked neat but didn't work either. Man, someday I'm going to have one hell of a garage sale. The more I read about my STR the more I think this is one motorcar I'm just going to leave alone which is not my nature.
