Default Matte Wrapped S-Type ?

Hello everyone, I'm interested in wrapping my whole 05 S-Type in a white or black 3M matte vinyl. The cars original color (zircon blue) is nice, I really like it but I'm looking for something "MEANER LOOKING" I seen an image of a Mercedes wrapped in matte white vinyl...the wheels are black with yellow calipers...Grill, badges/emblems are black...I would like to replicate what he/she did with that benz..looks too GOOD ! I would replace my current grill to a mesh grill, tint my windows as they currently are not, make the tail lights darker...and add some tint to the headlights...I would purchase some larger wheels 18/19"...Most folks where I live just throw a set of large chrome wheels on their cars...I would like to do something different...What do yall think ? Has anyone wrapped their car ? Have any photos ? If I were to do this project it would be in about 2-3 months when it warms up a bit...I'll look for that image of the benz I was referring to and post it once I find it.
Thanks for reading !

I have had wrapped cars and it can get expensive quick (think 2k). Doing it yourself will save some money, but you have to take your time, use a heatgun, and go slow.

Yes I've heard it isn't cheap getting it wrapped..I would definitely do it my self with some help from a brother..he likes making cars look good and all so he wouldn't mind LOL

This is the look I'm going for I tried to make it look as "matte" as possible those aren't the wheels I would like but it's what was on the car...I painted in some yellow calipers, not the grill I want..Mesh looks better but pretty much what I want it to look like...The bill is already looking quite high but I'll call it a 21 birthday present to myself this March...

I am in the works myself for doing a wrap on the STR! It is very expensive if done right! So like Michael Star said, it gets expensive. Especially if you wanna change the grill, wheels, tint the head and tail lights, plus wrap..... Cha Ching!

Yea, I prefer going the "professional" way on the main body so I'll be using 3M vinyl...But I will be using plasti dip on the Grill, emblems/badges, possibly on the wheels too unless they can be wrapped ?

... i think what you really need, is to sell the S, and buy something else more suited to that sort of style...

Seriously, you're gonna spend a stack on 3M vinyl alone... might as well invest in an R...

I thought the murdered out fad got played out by now... guess not...

$500 max on the 3M matte vinyl, you can wrap a short bus with $1k...I'll be doing the wrapping so it saves me the cost of paying someone to do it which would raise the bill significantly.
I decided to go with the white wrap as black does seem a bit too corny on this car...I'll probably wrap the MB CLS 550 in black that I'm looking to get.

My total is looking around $2.2K...with everything I listed including new wheels, not too bad

god... i just don't understand this latest matte fad. ^^^ that right there is a perfect example. it looks cheap and unpainted; like a car primered waiting for its eventual paintjob... this is somehow fashionable?

Maybe because I do pro detailing and love a wet and glossy finish, but i just can't see the appeal in this matte craze...

I don't really understand people who want to wrap their car a solid color. The cost to wrap and paint are very similar. Wraps only become attractive cost wise when intricate designs are printed. It's incredibly time consuming to hand paint crazy designs. But you can print them out with minimal design time on a computer.

Unless that's a newly developed 'rusting wrap', then that's matt paint.

Is that a wrap or just spray paint!

That looks like a rattle can job. The nice thing about a wrap is that you can go with a non-traditional color (matte black) but when it comes time to sell, you just peel it off and you are back to a factory color.
