misfiring cylinder 5
If you want to keep the car, I'd replace all the plugs and coils. You won't believe the difference in the performance and smoothness of the car. The engine and tranny are also so interconnected that the tranny will work better too. Once you start getting misfires on one or two cylinders, the others will soon follow. I have a V8 in my car, but I imagine it will help a V6 too. It's also important that they are all the same brand so the computer doesn't get confused from mixed messages. I couldn't find Denso coils either, so I got NGK coils and spark plugs for my car. I also found that you get the best pricing buying them directly from NGK, https://www.ngk.com/.
We’ll I changed the coils on the bank under the intake manifold and all the spark plugs, runs great now! I’ll do the other bank of coils this spring just to save a few bucks as those are easy to get to without removing the manifold. I took a little gamble not switching the injectors around to see if that was the issue but it all worked out.
