Now I always thought of my Jag as a Lady and we all know how ladies can be. So about a week ago the key fob to my '07' S-Type 3.0 failed. I brought new batteries, put the battery in the fob and nothing. I checked all the online sources: this forum & others, YouTube, & Google. They basically said the same thing. Insert key turn from position 1 to position 2, etc, etc. I tried them all nothing worked. So I bit the bullet bought a new key fob and resigned myself to having a Jaguar mechanic $$$$$ or an independent garage program it. Yes I know I could do it myself, but after trying w/the old key, I decided to take it to the experts.

Today being Sunday we decided to take a ride in the Jag. Just for the fun of it, I pressed the unlock button on the old key fob and wonders of wonders the doors unlocked! Now I've always thought of my Jag as a finicky, fickle Dame, but she outdid herself this time. I guess she was mad at me for not passing that BMW last week. So for everybody having issues w/key fobs, maybe the best solution is just to be patient & she'll come around.e
