I just got a letter from Jaguar with an "offer" to order a map update for my navigation: if I order by August 31st, I get to pay $199 with free shipping. Ummm...the normal price is $199. Checking the website quoted in the letter, I see that if I order now, I would get the 2009-2010 update. If I understand correctly, the next release of the map update is due sometime this fall. So, if I order now, I get to pay the regular price, but I do get free shipping on a soon-to-be-obsolete map update. Huh???? Caveat emptor!

 

That is why I buy used discs. I just picked up a 2008-2009 for a lot less than $199.
