Exclamation Need help quick

My thermostat stuck open and I'm 1000 miles from home. I'm not sure where the thermostat is. I'm gonna try to change it tonight. Can anyone tell me how it is changing one on these cars and where it is? Thanks guys.

Is this really such a problem that you can't wait until you get home?
Generally it's not great to run an engine too cool but too hot is much worse.

What are your symptoms?

Yea what he said. Heck I've modded a few thermo's back in the day to KEEP them open, or so they don't fully close. (Racecars) I wouldn't let it stay that way on a DD but you at least wont be stuck on the side of a raod with that condition. Unless what you are syaing is that it is stuck closed and you are over heating? That's bad.

Well I will not be home for 2 weeks and I have to drive through the mountains and since its cold outside it lowers the temp all the way down and puts the car in degraded performance mode and throws a engine light. I had to put cardboard in the grill to keep it from cooling so much just to get here. I just wanted to fix it before the return trip.
