Default New in here from China

Hi everyone,

I just bought a Stype 4.0 V8 2002, about 60K miles on show.
There is an error on screen CATS SYSTEM FAULT, the EX owner said he just replace 4 shocks, should learn or reset something, anyone know how to do this? And my boot sensor is broken too, a white stick at boot sensor is broken.
Can anyone upload a photo from that part, I think I can fix by myself.

THANK YOU!

Cheers

I think you are the first from China to visit the forum!
Welcome!

First with the car you have do you plan to DIY the repairs?

The 4.0L requires the tensioners to all be replaced or when they fail it destroys the engine. Do you know if your car has had this work done?

Next get the free shop manual which is the JTIS. Look at the top of this forum for a sticky with JTIS in the subject.

If you can't get that to work. PDF versions on disc are very cheap on EBay.

Are there wires attached to the top of the struts? Easy to check the front ones in the engine bay. Since CATS struts are pretty expensive some people just replace them with normal struts. Your guy might have done that too.
