New Jaguar 2002 STS owner
Hello all, I need a little help. I had to unplug my battery and as luck would have it my helper closed the trunk lid.
My question is how do I go about opening thee trunk now that it’s locked and no battery power???
Please tell me there is a way to get it open.
Thank you for any and all help.

You can use the key to open the trunk. If you look on the underside of the overhang above the number plate you will find a keyhole.
This information is in the owner’s handbook. If you have not got one it may be a good idea to try and find one to download as it has the answers to many commonly asked questions.

The manual key lock is located beneath the "U" of the Jaguar imprint on the chrome plinth on an X202; if the lock has not been turned in a while, some sort of cleaner/lubricant sprayed into the lock cylinder may be required.
If that fails, there is an auxiliary power hook-up located under the liner at the back of the right front wheel arch liner.

Thank you all very much. Silly me, I found the key hole exactly where you told me to look,
it’s hidden pretty good.
I’m sure I’ll have many more questions as I go along.
You all are so great to answer my silly new owner questions.
Again, thank you one and all.
