OEM radio to OEM radio swap
Listers,
My '04 has the standard radio/climate control unit. I would like to change to the premium {touch screen} unit. before I spend the $ and purchase a second hand unit, is this a straight swap? Do I need to get anything else? I know I would need the sat-nav DVD player, but I think I may forgo that because we like the nav on our phone. Looking for advice. I dont want to go with an aftermarket unit, I like to keep the original look.
Thanks,

i think the wiring needs modifying behind the head unit . you will also need a climate recm.
for behind the glove box . and you need to check you have existing d2p fiber optic cable running to the boot/trunk . if you already have a cd changer in the boot/trunk youl be fine .
finally youl need the premium amp and parcel shelf subs to complete the system .
it will be a lot of work with a lot of the car stripped apart to do the job .
anyway have a flick through this thread
