Default P0745 Pressure Control Solenoid Malfunction

Hello,

I got this other code coming up on my scanner "P0745 Pressure Control Solenoid Malfunction"...

Can someone please help me understand what this is/means? and if it's connected to the code P0795...

Thank you so much in advance!

I was searching around on line but seem to come up with nothing...

little backtrack:

I recently fixed the 4 - 3 pre-stroke spring...it was broken in 4 pieces...which is why I was getting code P0795 Pressure Solenoid "C"...We fixed it this past weekend...now I'm getting a new code "P0745 Pressure Control Solenoid Malfunction", I wonder if this is also a spring that might be broken? and if so...where would I find the spring? same place where I found the 4 -3 pre-stroke?

sorry dstnt, I cannot really be of any help other than this post. https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...ighlight=P0745
It sheds light on what the P0745 code is.
I searched my subscrition site for those codes, but there are no code discriptions for either P0745,0795.
While researching, ken@motorcarsltd.com came up, he advertises here and may be able to help you out.
good luck

You need to change the solenoid pack. It will cost somewhere between $300-$700 for the part. Plus installation. It should fix the problem BUT you might need to replace the entire valve body if not. You have a Ford 5 speed transmission and it is now very common. Used in Ford Explorers and Mustangs as well as the Lincoln LS which was the first to get it. Any transmission shop should be able to help you. An independent will be much cheaper than the Jaguar dealer. You can even order the Lincoln LS part to save money. I do not have the part number.
Here is something more about it. You only have the 745 code so ignore the broken band statements.
