i have a 2003 s type v6, automatic parking brake still on when put in reverse, touched gas heard a thump and car drove normally, started the other day and did not notice light on, when i backed up i again heard a thump, checked no brake light on, car ran fine after. if light on how do you get it off and what needs to be repaired, if i get the rear brakes done do i have to reset any brake warning lights?

 

Did you check the cables and motor under the vehicle as they can corrode due to road salt and not release properly.
