pcv hose for 2003 S-type Jaguar

I am new to this forum. I have a 2003 S-Type Jaguar and am in need of a little help. Is it true that ...
The intake gaskets have to be removed to replace the pcv hose and the imt orings seals. When you remove the upper and lower part of the intake housing, the gaskets has to be replaced so that the intake manifold will properly seal. They are not reusable seals.

I just received a huge estimate to replace the pcv hose that is only about $15.00. I was told that inorder to replace this $15 hose that all 12 upper and lower gaskets need to be replaced and that is the reason that the bill is so high ($800 for labor).

michele, there is controversy on the replacement of the upper and lower intake gaskets. Some will say NO you do not have to replace them others will say that you do. I have an 2005 S with the 3.0. I did the job that you are asking about in my garage in less than 2 hours. I am NOT a Jag tech, just a shade tree mechanic. All 12 gaskets were $125.00 combined. The GREEN IMT O-rings were an additional $5.00 ea. Do NOT replace the IMT O-rings with the yellow (old style)!! While you are replacing the PVC you might as well put in new spark plugs, the intake has got to be removed to change 2 of the passenger side plugs. I would recommend the use of iridium (type) spark plugs. I would not pay anyone $400.00 an hour to work on my vehicle. If I can be of more assistance please feel free.
