Better yet, search the forum, someone posted a drawing of their plan to electrify the leaper so it would shock someone who tried to pull it off..

MyBlackCat,

Peeps steal the leapers in Canada to sell and supplement their medical insurance premiums. Beer crates are quite popular to steal so more of us can drive with our head out the sunroof, eh.
Yeah, they head down to Tim's for some Timbits with a cold case of Koakanie wearing their Nucks sweaters. Dinner at Swiss Chalet eh....

Now that was funny, eh! Don't forget your toque if you're going to ride around with your head out the roof.

Well - my cat spend a few months in Canada - in different places , parked outside ( not in the garage) and no one has took interest in my leaper... same in downtown Chicago or other places in Il...I think a lot of people feel some kind of respect looking at the jags - and don't want to destroy perfect harmony... which of course does not means that some idiots will not do it... I'm all for the leaper

I would figure out a way to electrify the thing...lol. Hardwire it to the battery or something, and if someone touches it...ZAP...hehehe. Sort of like when you touch a hotwire and a ground at the same time. That would be cool!! Yea, I'm hateful like that, too...lol.

i thought about that, but think about it.. if i were the person who tries to pull it off and i get shocked, i would get super pissed and get a pole or rock and break it

I had a bike activist a-hole grab my leaper and twist it, but I inched the car at him and he backed off. The next day, though, I discovered he'd keyed my side panel. Jaguar fixed it, not perfect, but well. I'm wondering if there's a way to install a front mounted machine gun in the cat's mouth. Heh.

He He He, so, the leaper or not the leaper is as contentious with you guys over the pond as it is here in England. We don't get 'em as standard at all, so if a Brit has one fitted - they either added it themselves or were lucky enough to buy a car where the previous owner had done the job for 'em. Personally I put one on my S Type and love that little chrome cat pointing the way. We have problems with )0( trying to remove 'em as well, if you really want one, Arden in Germany do one that you can easily remove yourself when parking - http://www.arden.de/aade/haubenfigur...63038343d34696

But at that price you'd feel that they'd robbed you instead!
Reckon I'd have to lose 6 or 7 of 'em to cost that much. I haven't lost one yet, but my driveway is covered by CCTV, away from home it takes it's chance. I'm with the Electric shock therapy, mmm, on second thoughts I'll go with the machine gun :-)

I remerb when mine got stolen, was one of the sadest days of my life, the worst part, besides everyone i know looking at her in awe, was the part when i found out who did it.

Disco, we've been through that with you. No, you are not going to get revenge. They'll get their just desserts in time. It's kitty karma.

Default Ripped leaper.

My hood leaper was last seen at the Millenia Mall in Orlando on Sunday. I experienced maximum negative energy (pissed off!) for just a moment, and then the bright side, at least the rest of the car is still here! It feels like a violation. Im grateful that I didn't see it happening, because I really love my Jag. It was like someone had slapped my daughter and fled the scene.
