I recently got a 2005 S-type and am confused withthe radio preset buttons. Half of them display the station number (i.e. 99.7) and half display some sort of snippet of either the song that was playing, a recent song played, name of the station and seemingly other stuff. Anyone know what the deal is here? Would love to have some consistency where it shows either the station # or sng title. Any insight into how to set this up if possible?

do these buttons ever update? It woudl be a cool feature if they did. Right now i have a button for a preset that was playing Toby kieth when it was set.... and now i have a button called.... "TOBY"

Thanks. I get that it is RDS, but am confused about the inconsistency of the info that it shows. In the scrolling part, sometimes it shows the song name and artist, and sometimes it shows the name of the program or just the call signals. And the buttons only show weird inconsistent things - like "Keith" when it is playing Toby Keith. Other times it shows the station name, or call letters etc.
Any kind of reprogramming I can or should do here, or is this just the nature of the beast?

I'm having same issue, just posted on xk forum but no answer yet.
When I go into the audio section I get a confusing combination of words, station call letters, or station frequency in various preset locations.
It almost makes the screen useless and I wind up just forwarding through all stations until I find the one I want. Have you figured out any solution? I know this is an old post but same problem.
