Hi all,
My remote has stopped working, i have fitted a new battery, checked the circuit board in the remote and theres 3v on it, but still does not work. Then i unlock the car useing the key theres a buzzer sounding which only stops then i put the key in the ingition.

Any ideas?

I am having the same problem. My remote stopped working and I changed the batteries and it still does not work. Is there a fuse that controls this?

 

It sounds like your remote needs reprogramming.

On the XJ and XK this is a DIY job but a.f.a.i.k. the S-Type has to be done by the dealer.
