cant get the wipers to stay parked on windsheilfd in order to remove old one

 

Turn ignition off when they are in the upmost position.

 

I pop the hood open and take the wiper arm off .It makes it a lot easier to fish the old blade off and put the new one on. On my car they return to the home position even when I try the key off as they are at the top of their travel. Maybe it has to do with the auto rain sensing feature.
