Default Reverse Parking Sensor retrofit? - 2002 3.0 V6

Hello Jag gurus,
Just wondering if it's possible to add reverse parking sensor functionality to a car that it was not factory fitted?
I'm looking at needing to change my rear bumper and have seen ones available with sensors.
Does the wiring capability exist in my car (apart from the module needed in the boot) - like the beeper in the dash etc.?

Thanks for any advice.
Cheers,
Ben

Ben, your x200 should be prewired to take one of the several factory reverse options offered over the years. Which exact one I'm not sure.
I dare say the one I've attached should be the correct one.
Maybe first find the loom to make sure your car has a prewire, take a photo of the plug and post back. Should be taped up from the factory somewhere near the rear LH tail light.
Speaker was not pre fitted by the factory, so if you buy used make sure you pick this up as well. Loom for it should be also prewired on the parcel tray.
There was also a rare and hard to find front sensor factory option offered, which required you to drill a hole in the centre console for the on/off switch. I did manage to get one. This option's not appropriate for the later cars as they were prewired in the front as well and I think only one module controlled both front and back.
Bit of work as you have to drill the holes and spray the sensors to the body colour.

Thanks very much jya! Thats an amazing resource. Brilliant detail in exactly what to look for and how to connect it.
I'll check for the pre-wired connector on my car and send a picture. Is that what will connect to the parking assist module?
At 29 in the diagrams, I assume the end of the sensor loom connects to something, but I can't tell what?

Thanks again and I'll post another update soon,
Cheers,

I'm unsure if yours is an x200 or x202. Either way its probably similar to my preproduction x202 in that the plug for the reverse module is just sitting there taped back and will just plug straight into the reverse module. So step 27,28 and 29 wont be required. There was only one stud (indicated with the letter 'C') and not the two in my car as indicated in step 25 that I could clip the module onto. Hangs there alright though.
Do post the photo first though to make sure that this is the right module, before you go buying it.
Normal with these Jaguar issued instruction publications to indicate slight differences to each vehicle.
