Can someone tell me what the s button on 2001 s type and how do you know if its working correctly

The "S" is for Sports mode, that changes the gear shift parameters and raises the revs for the upshift points. Credit goes to norri for explaining that to me in an earlier post.

The louder the exhaust the more of a difference you'll notice since the sports mode revs higher before an upshift...
