Hi. Need to replace the chrome insert on the front bumper of my 2000 S type. Loosening the bumper is proving very difficult; can I simply "break" the insert out in bits and then "snap" the new one back in place?

 

Yeah, that's exactly what I did. Pry it back carefully with a screwdriver wrapped in a rag and you'll see the mounting points. A little bit of poking and wiggling and they pop out. The new pieces just snap right in. Easy fix.
