Unhappy S type Climate Control Problem

Today I did my first long journey since the mild weather arrived (in my 2005 S Type) to find that the cooling system remained hot even when temperatures we set to minimum i.e. LO on the display. The aircon worked fine last year but not now. Is it possible its just a recharge of the aircon required or something more difficult?
Many thanks in anticipation.

Yes, try the recharge. Really easy to perform, make sure you connect it to the low side which typically is underneath the engine on the driver's side.
