Default S Type passenger door mirror

My 2005 S Type has developed a problem in that the passenger door mirror will neither retract nor extend to the driving position electrically when the mirror button is used. The button will adjust the mirror position of both mirrors and retract and extend the drivers mirror.
Has anyone any suggestions how to fix the mirror which can be moved manually?
Thanks
Brian

Seized motor, broken mirror bracket ? My o/s won't move because it has had a couple too many kisses and broke. To keep it in place it is screwed down so it can't even be moved manually. You might get yours moving with WD40 or similar but you might be better off getting a replacement
