2001 jaguar
S type V6


Hello everyone. I'm new to this forum and I apologize if I am in the wrong place to answer this question. Does anyone have any info as to how to remove the power steering, high pressure hose from the rack and pinion of th 2001 s type V6? I unscrewed the torx head screw already and the hose just spins around with the clamp but will not pull out. Any help will be appreciated because its driving me nuts. BTW, I am removing it because the hose only leaks at the pressure switch and Im gonna replace just that.

I changed the P/S pressure switch on my wife's 2003 Lincoln LS without removing the hose. It's very tight on the V-8 but was much simpler than getting the hose off.

Thats what I tried first but the switch was on so tight I didn't want to risk damaging the hose

That's okay Rick. Still thanx for taking the time to read my post, and to you as well Clubairth1 for answering up. I tried to remove just the pressure switch from the hose and it still would not budge and i kinked it. Now Ive cross-threaded the power steering pump threads where the pressure hose feeds into. Im gonna just get a new hose and another pump and be done with it. Still, I'll be okay when I find out how to disconnect this hose from the rack.
