Hi
Could anyone please tell me the visual difference between the middle and side rear sensors on a 03 S-Type?
My near side (Left) one has died and i don't really want to take it all to bits to find out if its got a right angled or straight connector or the one that looks like it has a spring around the outside.
Mine also has an indent (impression) on it's face that has two horizontal lines connected at each end by a semi circle if that helps!
Thanks
Adrian

Not the best photo of the corner sensor but at first glance the 2 sensors look almost identical apart from being rotated 180 degrees. If you look closely though at the sensor on the rear you can see that the upper part of the sensor actually protrudes further than that bit on the corner sensor, apart from that they are identical. The angle of the face of the rear part of the bumper is greater compared to the corner, that's the reason for the 2 different sensors.
Even if you managed to fit a rear sensor on the corner it would point further up in the air and and further away from the horizontal position. You might find though the sensor spread is wide enough to still cover all obstacles.

Hi
Thanks for the answer but it's the electrical connector details that i am after! some are straight and some are at a right angle (i guess for clearance).

Ah, the electrical connectors are all identical, it's only the outer covers that are different.

I would imagine that the fronts would also use the same right angled connector, it's more than likely yet again that the only difference is the front cover as it doesn't make sense to produce 2 different mouldings.
