Default S type steering wheel controls

Hi, I hope someone can point me in the right direction with this. I have a 2006 s type without the navigation system. I have fitted an android unit , I'm trying to get the swc to work. Looking at wiring diagrams there is only 1 wire from the swc (white/black pin 18) ,the android unit has swc self learning and 2 wires key 1 and key 2. I've tried connecting to both but can't get swc to work, does one of them have to be grounded? Or do I need some special adaptor cable? I'd have thought with the self learning an adapter cable wouldn't be nessacery. Thanks in advance

If it is any help the SWC's output are switched resistances to ground.

It is not switched resistances to live.

I do not know how the android unit works.

So would I be right in thinking that either key1 or key 2 wire should be grounded and the white/black connected to the other?

As I mentioned I do not know how the android unit works.
It does sound logical, however I have no idea if grounding one of these connections will be the right thing to do, as far as I know it could dammage it!
