S-Type vs X-Type????
Jim,
Love those Outbacks. Tried to talk my wife into one back in January 2007 instead of the 2004 Lexus RX330 AWD she wanted. I lost, she bought the Lexus. I still believe that the Outback is of the best bang-for-the-buck little SUVs on the market with a first-class 4WD or AWD set-up. What model year did you get, and how many miles were on the clock?

It's a 2000 but only 58,000 miles and really clean. She has about 62k on it now and loves it. From what I hear that's just broke in. Bought it wrecked as with most of my cars. I always thought they made the most sence as far as an SUV type. Suposedly one of the best AWD systems going. Laurie is a caregiver for a couple elderly people. It will be nice not to have to drive her when the roads are bad. The one old fella has a long steep drive that takes 4wd when it snows. Plus it does 18mpg around town.
I have a customer that is on his 3rd or 4th. He would probably still be driving the one before but he got hit and the ins totalled it. He really wanted it fixed but they wouldn't do it. Seems to be a lot of brand loyalty with Subie owners.
