Scared the crap out of me
While driving my 2000 3.0, I had pulled off the road to look up an address on my phone. When I got ready to leave the car would barely run. I looked at the dash board and I saw the temp gauge was pinned to the end/ I didn't realize the car had a "limp home" mode and I was able to get home. All I could think of was a blown head gasket or water pump. Turned out to be a 1/4" tear in one of the radiator hoses so I replace all of the large hoses and thermostat while in there. A pain in the *** job but once the throttle body was off, a simple task Bought the car a year and a half ago with 65K on it and other than that , the heater control valve and a set of tires yesterday The old tires were 7 yrs old, it's been a good one and great as an every day car 111 in the Phoenix area today , so no more car as I am going to jump in my pool
