Default Seat memory settings

I have set both buttons 1 & 2 on my 2008 S Type and they work perfectly. So yesterday I made an adjustment to one of the buttons and everything was fine. Except, that now when I take the key from the ignition, the seat goes all the way back and down. I can't find anything in the manuals that refer to this function. Bottom line is, i don't want it to do that. How do I turn that off.

Is the rotary knob on the steering column set to "Auto?" If so, switch it to "Column" or "Pedals" and that should sort it.

temp fix til you figure it out...stab the brake pedal as soon as the seat starts moving and it should stop...I think....or flick the fore/aft seat switch.

You were correct, I had left the rotary knob in the auto position. Moved it to the manual setting and now it's back to normal. Thanks for you help.

It's a feature to allow easy entry and exit of elderly, rotund, jaguar drivers 😀😀
