Default Serpentine Belt

I got my new gatorback belt Sat. in the mail and went out to see how big a job it would be to change it.

With the help of a flash light I could barely see the old belt. It is really tucked in there.

Does anyone have any tips on changing this beast short of tearing half the front off the car?

Thanks

and can you believe that jaguar still only pays .2(12 minutes) to change that serp belt under warranty if there is an issue theyve paid the same from back when you could actually SEE it. Ide like to see them do that damn job!!!!
Take out the air intake tube and air box and work from that side, oh have fun, chill a few beers first, youll want them when youre done

Call me crazy, but I was thinking of changing out the serpentine belt. Its squealing on wet mornings, so I guess it is getting glazed.

Anyway, it seems that two sizes are offered as aftermarket replacements. Either 107 inches, or 108 inches. Goodyear recommends the 108 for my vin number, but if you went by model year, either size would fit. I have a 2003 3.0.

If I go with the 108, will it be too lose and squeal more often?
If I go with the 107, will it be too tight and prematurely wear bearings?

Decisions, decisions.

Just go to the jag dealer and get the belt there. It is not that expensive.

Changing out on the v6 is a 10 minute job

Maybe dealers are different in Monaco.
From an internet parts seller (rock auto), its $9 to $21 depending on which brand, dayco, gates, goodyear, etc I select.

From the cheapest online dealer (gaudin) its $41. If I were to go to my local dealer, it would probably be more than MSRP, which is $52.

I could buy one of each size from rock auto and it would be cheaper than the dealer.
