Which set of special tools for 2000 S-type V8 chain tensioner work
Hello,
I am planning to replace the chain tensioner of a 2000 S-type V8. Which of the below set of tools should I get? Do I need any other special tool? A great many thanks.

The tools in the photos may certainly work depending on what you plan on replacing.
The crankshaft holding tool is a different shape for the AJ28 fitted to the S-Type, so you must have the correct tool on hand.
For the primary timing chains, tensioners and guides, you must make sure you have a method for removing the front damper pulley. Under no circumstances is the crankshaft holding tool to be used whilst removing the pulley as damage to the timing ring will result.
Refer to JTIS or the Workshop Manual for the correct procedures and torque values.

It appears so, but difficult to tell from the photo. As long as you have the correct crankshaft holding tool for the AJ28 as part of the set.
How do you plan to remove the bolt holding the crankshaft damper?

Perhaps you can search for the tools on eBay? Have you tried using the search function on this forum to see where others have purchased them?
There is a Jaguar special service tool to hold the front crankshaft pulley whilst removing the bolt. Use the search function to search this topic as well as someone may have devised another method.
JTIS, or the Workshop Manual, contains a list of the required tools and the correct procedures.
